Logo Design for Nomad Think Tank

Nomad Think Tank Logo
In 2018, I worked with Antonia Scholz to create the logo and brand concept for her first research firm, Nomad Think Tank. Antonia Scholz, the founder, is a political and social scientist from Germany. Her company, Nomad Think Tank, is a research and consulting company with the mission to understand the digital nomad culture and to leverage location-independent work for economic development and social betterment. In other words, Antonia aspires to build more social awareness of the digital nomad community and help the movement thrive without negatively affecting local communities in popular nomad hubs. As a digital nomad myself, I was very eager to work on this project so closely aligned with my passions.

Antonia's project was a logo design experience that included one mood board, one color palette and one logo design with several variations. For all of my logo design experiences, I create these variations: black & white, full-color, one-color, and reverse one-color. Antonia wanted bright colors to stand out in the world of academia. To simultaneously maintain a look of professionalism, we decided that all of the logos would be a one-color design. This project helped me learn to focus on proportion and see what I could do with just text and line elements alone.

My favorite part about working with online entrepreneurs like Antonia is helping them realize their brand vision and seeing the impact of their work. I like to think that Antonia is bridging the gap between social entrepreneurship and academia.
